Krod Mandoon and the Flaming Sword of Fire
Doing a sword and sorcery show is hard. Doing a comedy is also hard. Doing an actually funny show with people on quests and living in castles and being the chosen one and having sex with 300 dudes is really hard. And this show succeeded, I was quite pleasantly surprised. Kudos Comedy Central, kudos.
Chuck
Really the most pleasantly predictable hour of television on today. The will they/won't they between the two romantic leads is going nowhere, but that is more than made up for by the fact that the plot is actually moving along quite a bit recently. Loads of fun, actually makes me laugh.Lost

Truly, getting an end date to this show was the best thing that ever happened to it. This season is fantastic in its ability to trot out a mystery in one episode and then solve that mystery the very next episode. And not only that, due to all of the time traveling hijinks, we are getting answers to questions that were posed in the very first damn season. Also, the last run of episodes has pushed boring, depressing, drama filled Jack and Kate to the background and focusing on much more fun Sawyer, Blondie and Ben. Ben needs a damn Emmy, he is just a lie covering up shadiness covering up a scam inside a candy coating of insecurity. Outstanding.
Mad Men
You know, even if the acting in this show wasn't superb, everything in the show is just so damn good looking. All of the people, all of the clothes, and all of the sets. So sleek, so retro yet timeless, the whole show is just a visual fucking feast. Oh, and the acting is fantastic. Starting watching this is what made me stop watching Heroes, that is how striking the contrast was. The acting was so spectacular that it made me stop watching a show with sexy telekinetic serial killer that kept on doing horrible things to a blond cheerleader for a show about the advertising business.
